Process: Tools: Assembling the Treadle Wheel

My Leach treadle wheel was made by Mark Polglase of Great River Woodworks (formerly Waves of Grain) in Scandia, MN. It arrived via UPS in three large cartons in September, 2001. With a fair amount of hesitation, I assembled it in my studio one Sunday afternoon, and was surprised at how easily and well it went together -- proof of the sound design and craftsmanship that went into its construction. After using it extensively ever since, I would highly recommend this wheel to any potter.
