2005
Moved homeand studio in Fillmore, IN. Studio and showroom renovations. Built small soda kiln.

2004
Our last year in Greencastle, IN.

2003
Taught ceramics again at DePauw. Experimented with earthenware. Shows at CCAD and The Gallery.

2002
Started soda firing in small catenary kiln at DPU. Second year of studio sales.

2001
1st Spring sale. Purchased treadle wheel. Changed my main clay body. Taught beginning ceramics class at DePauw University.

2000
Bought our 1st house, including new basement studio. 1st Holiday sale at the new place. Launched St. Earth Pottery website.

1999
Spring semester at Edwardsville. More wood and soda firing. Learned a lot! Left MFA program at end of year. Set up first home studio, working with stoneware and cone 10 reduction firing.

1998
Ended studio time at BPG. Moved to Indiana/Illinois. Started MFA program at Southern Illinois Univ. @ Edwardsville. Lots of wood and soda firing, and reunited with a treadle wheel.

1997
Continued working at Boulder Potters' Guild, including some salt firing. Worked on portfolio and applied to graduate schools.

1996
Big gap in work - no studio! Joined Boulder Potters' Guild. Worked as an assistant in exchange for studio and kiln access.

1995

Finished year at Arizona State. Back to Iowa for 2nd summer with Clary Illian. Moved to Boulder, CO, where Cindy started MFA program at CU. Started FT dayjob, working PT in Univ. of Colorado studio.

1994
Summer apprenticeship with Clary Illian, Ely, IA. First experience with soda firing and throwing on a treadle wheel. Picked the name "St. Earth Pottery" by looking at maps of the U.K. Returned west to attend Arizona State as a part-time student. Classes with Kurt Weiser and Randy Schmidt. First glaze experiments and solo kiln firing.

1993
Graduated with a BA in English, and "unofficial" minor in clay. Got a job, continued part-time courses at U of I.

1992
1st and 2nd throwing classes w/ Bunny McBride and Stephen Robison. Introduced to wood firing in a big anagama.

1991
I stumbled into the clay studio at the University of Iowa. Ceramics I got me hooked.

1971-1990
Very limited ceramics activity.
