january: We've moved! New house and studio in Fillmore, IN; room to grow.

january: Teaching beginning ceramics class at DePauw.

may: Started soda firing again, in small catenary kiln at DPU. 2nd spring studio sale.

2001
december: 2nd holiday studio sale.

november: 2 glaze firings

september: Purchase treadle wheel.

may: 1st spring studio sale.

april: Changed to a porcelaneous stoneware clay as my main clay body. Adding porcelain glazes to the cone 10 palette. Teaching beginning ceramics class at DePauw Univ.

2000
december: 1st studio sale at the new house.

july: St. Earth Pottery website launches - handcrafted and built to stay that way.

june: 1st house purchased, including new studio.

1999
fall: Set up first home studio in Greencastle. Start of several years of working in basements. Continue working in stoneware and return to cone 10 reduction firing.

spring: 2nd semester at Edwardsville. More wood and soda, lots of new things. Leave MFA program at end of semester.

1998
fall: Start MFA program in clay at Southern Illinois Univ. @ Edwardsville. Lots of wood and soda firing and reunited with a treadle wheel.

august: Move to Greencastle, IN.

spring: End of studio time at BPG. Some salt firing.

1997
Continue working at Boulder Potters' Guild, participate in 2 sales per year. Work on portfolio and apply to graduate schools.

1996
fall: Join Boulder Potters' Guild, work making clay in exchange for studio and kiln access.

spring: Big gap in work - no studio!

1995
fall: FT dayjob, working in Univ. of Colorado studio.

august: Move to Boulder, CO. Cindy starts graduate school in Photography.

june: Summer Apprenticeship #2 with Clary Illian.

spring semester: Continuing work at Arizona State; Kurt Weiser as an instructor.

1994 (the Archive Gallery starts here)
august: Move to Phoenix, AZ to attend Arizona State. Part-time student status equates to spending lots of time in the clay studio. First glaze experiments and solo kiln firing.

summer: Apprenticeship with Clary Illian, Ely, IA. Intensive learning, including a variety of technical and motivational challenges. First experience with soda firing and throwing on a treadle wheel. Name "St. Earth Pottery" originates from looking at maps of the U.K.

1993
fall: Continuing PT course work in university studio.

may: Graduation, BA english (unofficial minor in clay)

1992
fall: 2nd throwing class.

spring: 1st throwing class w/ Bunny McBride and Stephen Robison. I was immediately hooked; throwing far preferable to handbuilding. lots to learn. Introduction to wood firing - a big anagama.

august: University of Iowa: I stumbled into the clay studio. Who knew?
